Welcome to WPWBC - The Place Where Faith, Knowledge, and Wisdom Meet!

 

​Blessings to one and all! We are grateful to God for what we know He is going to do for us here at WPWBC. God has tremendously blessed this institution over the past several years, and we know He will continue to do so. If it was not for the Lord on our side, where would we (WPWBC) be?

 

As we are diligently preparing ourselves as Board Members, Community Partners, College Ambassadors, Administrators, Faculty, Staff and Students for each academic year, I wish to remind each of us that we would be remiss and negligent if we did not call upon the Lord God in our individual preparations. Proverbs and Philippians both address to the believer the necessity to "lean on" God because He is our guide, our strength and our support.

Philippians 4:19, "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus".

 

That said we must begin with the end in mind and for each academic year of the school’s journey, I am asking everyone to focus on the importance of prayer as:

 

In the life of the Believer, faith is our foundation and prayer is paramount. 

Prayer is the essential key to our success and the guide to that success.

 

Prayer is the key that opens heaven's door and the historical theologian Charles Haddon Spurgeon quoted this on the matter: "To pray is to enter the treasure-house of God and to gather riches out of an inexhaustible storehouse". This is why we, as the Saints of God, pray in faith, trusting and believing!

 

Therefore, we continue to seek God's face and call upon Him in prayer. Imploring Him to be our guide and our strength during this school year, knowing He has everything each of us need to succeed in our specific positions and roles. We are beseeching you to pray for each other and for the Lord’s blessing upon this school year. As the students are preparing to learn and grow, the faculty are preparing to instruct, the staff are preparing to manage operations, and the boards are providing oversight and support, we call on God for His divine strength and guidance. We ask God to bless all those involved in whatever capacity that may be.

 

This year and every year let us focus our hearts on prayer and allow God to move on our behalf! 

Dr. Saunders earned a Doctor of Theology Degree from the W. P. Wiggins Bible College in 2024.  He is happily married to Dr. Lisa Saunders and they reside in Suffolk, Virginia.   

 

His motto is:
